The Optex BXS-RAM-W wireless infrared motion sensor detects movement at distances of up to 12 m and is designed as a curtain-type sensor. Its two independent PIR sensors trigger an alarm only when both detect movement, while SMDA Logic analyzes movement patterns alongside environmental conditions to help reduce false alarms.

The detection range can be set to 12 m, 8.5 m, 6 m, 5.5 m, or 2.5 m, while the detection angle is 0–3 degrees. Sensitivity is adjustable via DIP switches, and active IR antimasking detects when the sensor is covered.
