Words and phrases are presented and practiced in short texts or dialogues, or in matching or sorting activities based on their semantic similarity. Following the guidelines of the QCER, the thematic topics of Notebook 2 (B1/B2) delve into common situations and add useful lexical areas for describing personal experiences and feelings, referring to someone's interests and job, and simply expressing one's opinions. Specifically, the last chapters are dedicated to functional vocabulary in certain typical texts: messages and information requests and normative, narrative, and argumentative texts. Additionally, there is space for phrases and idiomatic expressions, and always, for the "combinatorial" with one or more activities, focusing particularly on the high likelihood of specific word combinations (verb + noun, noun + noun, etc.) in frequent phrases in the thematic and communicative domain of the chapter. The notebook concludes, in the appendix, with the solutions to the exercises and a list, in alphabetical order, of the vocabulary, indicating the chapter in which they first appear.
