Description

Why aren’t you enjoying life as much as you would like? Perhaps the answer isn’t what you think. It's not your fault. However, it may be due to what you hear you should do to enjoy life. The hero of the story is fortunate enough to meet a magical guide who shows him an alternative path.

In this pioneering and unconventional book, Dimitris Flammouris, PhD, debunks many of the myths in the self-improvement space. Combining the latest research in neuroscience, the new science of anxiety, and the science of motivation with psychology, existential philosophy, and ancient wisdom, he offers a different, more human path.

In the pages of this book, you will read:

  • How to live happier even without goals or dreams.
  • How to discover what you want in your life (and that it's normal not to know yet).
  • How to manage anxiety and make it an ally (no matter how anxious you get). In practice.
  • How to solve the puzzle of low self-esteem. In practice.
  • How to manage negative thoughts and unpleasant feelings that trouble you. In practice.
  • How to understand and tame your mind.
  • How to communicate effectively with everyone. In practice.
  • How to find the willpower to make any changes you want to make but find difficult, and how to resist temptations. In practice.
  • How to answer the question of the meaning of life.

Written in the author's well-known practical and highly accessible style, this book promises to take you to parts of yourself you never imagined existed. On a paradoxical path to the meaning of life. Are you ready for a meaningful life?

Extremely boring and tiresome with many unnecessary details and dialogues that tire the reader. Personally, it did not suit me at all. It would be good to browse through it first in a bookstore to see if the style and flow of writing suit you.

  • Amazing! Many meanings, presented in a smart and understandable way, things that we should ultimately learn from a young age! A very nice approach to better understand and interpret what we feel!

    Excellent book.
It flows very quickly and easily and leads you to understand certain topics.
The format of Dimitris' discussion with the doll Sofia is amazingly staged.
I believe it will be understood more quickly by those who have undergone psychotherapy in the past or have some contact with psychology. Others may need a little more effort, but they will definitely succeed.
I recommend it for both reading and future reference to refer to specific chapters when needed.
Of course, staying in action cannot easily be called the "meaning of life," but okay, it is good advice and a quite catchy title.
