Review this product
  • I got the basic set that includes a magnetic screwdriver head and the simple drill head. The store then gave a free 2Ah battery and charger. The two main uses I have for it are as follows: Carpentry, I don't need the hammering function, to the point where I'm considering getting drill bits that fit into the hex chuck of the screwdriver. For corresponding concrete drill bits, I don't know if I should get them, because the drill automatically selects the gear, so it doesn't get stuck at low speeds since it has the screwdriver chuck in front. Second use, climbing and camping with a hammock, it drills into rock at 6mm without any problem, while at 8mm it struggles from a certain depth onwards, depending on the rock. Usually, it will open the hole, but it will take time and consume a lot of battery. In a stone-built house, I couldn't manage to open a hole for an 8x80 wall plug. Another advantage is the battery, which is now supported in various devices for the home, not just Bosch tools (from vacuum cleaners and handheld vacuums to lawn mowers and chainsaws).

Now, despite its five stars, if someone told me they were thinking of buying it, I would suggest two alternatives: Do you want amateur torque? Check out the cheaper UniversalImpact (it comes in two versions with torque of 35 or 60). It seems unnecessary to change the chuck when alternating between drilling and screwing. Do you want the 80 torque that this one has? Check prices on Bosch blue, Milwaukee, Makita, and other such professional brands that the AdvancedImpact reaches in price.

Good, solid, but you can't call it VFM. Lucky that I got the free battery and charger when they were trying to push the series.
