The Wise Ones is a study and at the same time a denunciation of the modern intellectuals, who have a mush of poorly digested knowledge in their heads, collected from who knows where, which they present in the wrong way at the wrong time.

At the end of the work, a compromise is reached between the two camps; however, Molière does not indicate that the three wise ones repent or, at least, become more sensible.

The story that began centuries ago with the great French creator continues to this day, as there are always people who slather on knowledge, swallow it whole, and regurgitate it at social gatherings, thinking that this way they secure a distinguished place in the pantheon of intellectual leaders.
