It is the best value for money in its category and does a decent job on total and LDL cholesterol. I used to take 2 capsules at half the dose that was previously recommended, which was 10mg. Now new guidelines have come out, but it's not a one-size-fits-all approach.

I had high cholesterol for many years with levels ranging from 220 to 240. Even with the use of statin pills, it wouldn't drop below 220. Recently, it rose to 260, so I decided to try this particular supplement. Every body is different, but I was one of the lucky ones. After 40 days, it dropped to 199. I intend to continue taking it.

It helps a lot in reducing cholesterol, along with a sensible diet. Of course, it does not have the same immediate results as pharmaceuticals, but it has no side effects.

After 4 months of use and without changing dietary habits (which are not the healthiest) and in combination with physical exercise (walking 3 times a week - 45 minutes), cholesterol levels returned to normal.
