The Mac Home model is a standalone unit for converting analog TV AV signals into digital TV COFDM signals. Suitable for individual home installations, it is an ideal solution for distributing analog video signals with digital TV COFDM modulation in a single standalone unit.

The AV signal is digitized, encoded in MPEG2 MP@ML, H.264/MPEG4 AVC MP L4.1, and modulated to COFDM. The baseband signal is modulated onto an RF carrier, which can be adjusted at the output in the UHF bands.

The modulator has the capability to play user-generated videos.
