Description

This specific HIFI DAC expansion board has been designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi B+, using the TI DAC chip (PCM5122) and features an I2S interface.

The user can utilize this expansion board with audio playback systems (e.g., volumio, xbmc, etc.) to create their own network HIFI player.

The expansion board provides two types of outputs for facilitating external amplifiers and other equipment.

It features an LED indicating the operational status. A red LED indicates the power status of the DAC (normal power light), while a green LED indicates the operational status of the DAC (active when in use, off when not operating). It also provides an interface for an infrared receiver (occupies GPIO26).

Features:

  • Sampling frequency: 384KHz
  • Resolution (Bits): 16-32
  • Digital Audio Interface: I2S
  • SNR: 120dB
  • THD: -93dB
  • Dynamically range: 112dB
