The LV8729 driver module with 128 subdivisions is a suitable choice for Nema stepper motors with a current of less than 1.5A, ensuring stable, quiet, and accurate operation.
Specifications:
- Dimensions: 1.5mm * 2.0mm (Same as A4988 and DRV8825)
- Maximum drive current: 2A (Default 1.2A)
- Operating voltage: 6V-36V, recommended voltage 12V
- Subdivisions: 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, 1/128
- Product process: four-layer PCB
At 64 or 128 subdivisions, better ultra-quiet condition is achieved.
Note: Ensure that the connection direction is correct; otherwise, there is a risk of burning the driver chip and the control board.
Driver current algorithm and adjustment:
- Current algorithm: i=Vref*0.9, with Vref approximately 0.4V, thus the default current is 1.2A and the maximum is 2A.
- Do not connect the motors while measuring the voltage; otherwise, there is a risk of damaging the driver.
- Connect both the power supply and the USB for current while measuring the voltage.
- Small adjustments for the current regulator. Adjust again after measurement to avoid burning from excessive current.
- To increase the current, turn the regulator clockwise slowly, and counterclockwise to decrease.
