Principle Introduction:
The Tesla coil is a transformer that operates on the principle of resonance. It was invented by Nikola Tesla, a Serbian-American scientist, in 1891. It is mainly used for producing high voltage, but with low current and high-frequency AC electrical energy. It consists of two resonant circuit groups (sometimes three) that are connected. The Tesla coil is difficult to determine as Nikola Tesla experimented with many different coil combinations.
Tesla Functions:
- Arc mode: the backward surge of the rear end will produce an arc, which can ignite.
- Fluorescent lighting mode: after operating the Tesla coil, the fluorescent lamp can light up.
- Music playback mode: a new type of speaker that uses the electric arc to stimulate the air and cause vibrations from the plasma. You can play music from a phone/computer, but the sound is low.
Installation Steps:
- First, install the small components.
- Preferably install the more complex components next.
- Pay attention to the installation direction of the components.
- Make sure the soldering iron does not touch the components for a long time; otherwise, they may be damaged.
Notes:
- This product is safe; the power is not high and does not cause electrocution damage, but it is not recommended to touch the top of the arc, as there will be a burning sensation.
- Do not touch the heatsink after prolonged power supply; the temperature is very high, especially with 24V. If needed, add your own fan for cooling.
- It is recommended to keep at least half a meter distance from other objects while operating the coil. Other objects can absorb the coil's energy.
- Do not place mobile phones, mp3 players, and other electronics near the coil, as they may cause interference.
