Description

When a fake relationship between scientists meets the irresistible force of attraction, it throws one woman's carefully calculated theories on love into chaos.

As a third-year Ph.D. candidate, Olive Smith doesn't believe in lasting romantic relationships but her best friend does, and that's what got her into this situation. Convincing Anh that Olive on her way to a happily ever after was always going to be tough, scientists require proof.

So, like any self-respecting woman, Olive panics and kisses the first man she sees.

That man is none other than Adam Carlsen, a young hotshot professor and well-known ass. Which is why Olive is positively floored when he agrees to keep her charade a secret and be her fake boyfriend. But when a big science conference goes haywire and Adam surprises her again with his unyielding support (and his unyielding abs), their little experiment feels dangerously close to combustion.

Olive soon discovers that the only thing more complicated than a hypothesis on love is putting her own heart under the microscope.

  • Was it easy to read?
  • I would read a book by the same author
  • Was it interesting enough?
  • I liked the writing style
  • I would recommend it for reading
  • Lovable!! I had been avoiding getting it for a while, I don't know why, but it accidentally ended up in my hands as a gift. And as someone who reads 2 books a week and loves this genre (light, romantic), I have fallen in love and it is definitely one of my favorite books, maybe top 3! It's like watching a sweet, smart, light, humorous, and very romantic rom-com! The Adam - Olive relationship is dreamy! The secondary characters are brilliant and perfectly written. The love and chemistry between the protagonists made my heart flutter every time and made me smile like a fool as I read it. For the first time, as soon as I finished a book, I started it again! I can't recommend it enough! Above all my favorite books and soon it will be released as a movie! I can't wait!

Olive is a PhD candidate in Biology at Stanford University and believes only in science and evidence. So she doesn't believe at all in love and long-term relationships, even though her best friend, Ann, is an incurable romantic soul. Wanting to convince her that everything is fine in her life, she lies to her that she's dating someone! Only that someone is none other than the first man she sees in front of her!

Adam is one of the most demanding professors at Stanford. By pure chance, Adam agrees to keep her secret and become something like her fake boyfriend, leaving Olive speechless.

Thus begins the experiment for the most wonderful theorem, that of love!

  • I expected it to be much more romantic than what I had heard, but nevertheless, I liked it, I really liked the ending and how they met, it was easy to read. The only thing I didn't like is that there is a narrator and they don't describe their own thoughts, etc
