▫️A few words about the book: The Song of Achilles is a retelling of the Iliad, but through the eyes of Patroclus and his relationship with Achilles. In the book, the author manages to unite classical mythology with the emotions of our characters in a tender yet somewhat painful way. Even for those of us who may have known the ending since our school years, this book manages to bring tears to your eyes.
▪️Style/Writing of the book: Simple, high-quality, and quite emotionally charged, it is a book that will remain unforgettable to you. It won't tire you at all, and even if you are not a fan of mythology, I am sure you will love it. The narration itself will make you bond with the characters and see them as real people, not just heroes of a story.
▫️Why I loved it: Personally, this book made me see mythology in a different light. It definitely made me feel emotions I did not expect through a mythological story. It is nothing like the way I remembered this particular story.
