The publication of the fourth volume of the article-by-article interpretation of the Code of Criminal Procedure marks the beginning of the renewed edition of the work, adapted to the new provisions of both the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Penal Code.

Soon, the three previous volumes of the work, updated with all recent legislative changes, will also be released. The project will be completed in five volumes and aims to be the most comprehensive and systematic interpretation of the new CPC.

Through extensive experience in the judicial field and participation in Drafting and Revision Committees for the new Code of Criminal Procedure, the author approaches the provisions in a detailed manner, presenting all the legal trends, so that no question that concerns legal practitioners is left unanswered, whether practical or theoretical, providing a useful scholarly tool for understanding and interpreting the new provisions and institutions of the CPC and their connection with the previous legislative framework.

• Each article includes specific bibliography, legislative changes, and correspondence with the provisions of the prior CPC/1950, facilitating the search for previous versions of each article.

• Procedural provisions of special laws are analyzed alongside the relevant provisions of the CPC.

• The entire body of case law published in the legal press concerning Greek courts is presented, making it easier for the reader to reference the most appropriate source.

• All decisions of the ECHR related to criminal proceedings and influencing the interpretation of our internal law are commented on.

• An extensive alphabetical index and a list of statutory provisions are included.
