Description

Despite its compact design, this high-quality travel tripod from SIRUI offers a secure grip for your compact or system camera. It is easy to use on any occasion and fits in any bag.

The legs can be rotated upwards by 180°, so the tripod is only 33 cm high when folded (with the head). Each leg consists of 5 sections with 4 sealed ring locks. The rubber feet allow the tripod to stand securely on any surface.

The cold protection grips are also part of the SIRUI standard, as is the practical carrying bag.

The tripod offers a removable and extendable center column. Therefore, the head can be mounted directly on the tripod cross, which significantly increases stability. A small key ring with a carabiner on the underside of the tripod cross is used for additional stabilization.

The B-00K ball head operates very smoothly and softly. The safety locking system with a safety pin secures the quick release plate and releases it at the push of a button. It is no longer necessary to open the entire clamp. The base can be rotated 360°, ideal for panoramic shots.

    I bought it because of its size, which is slightly larger than a water bottle. It seems to be well-made from carbon fiber and, even though it's Chinese, it doesn't look "cheap". I preferred the 5CX over the regular 5C (which is 10 euros cheaper) because the CX has a better ball head. By the way, the head of the 5C is considered terrible. The 5CX has an Arca-Swiss quick release plate. However, the safety system of the plate seems almost non-existent. In indoor conditions, it appears to be very stable and seems to comfortably support a Nikon Z with a relatively heavy lens, even when fully extended. I will come back with an evaluation after testing it outdoors, in windy conditions and on uneven terrain, because that's exactly why I bought it - to constantly have it outside and for it to be small, lightweight, and stable.
