The Northern Greece Lawyers' Association was founded in June 1987 with the purpose, according to its statutes, "to study scientific and social issues of the legal sector in general and to further elevate the status and mission of Greek lawyers, with the primary goal of ensuring fairer administration of justice and independence."
The N.G.L.A. has been fortunate to see many of its members occupy top positions in the judiciary, be elected as corresponding members of the Academy of Athens, participate in legislative committees, and generally excel by contributing to the advancement of the country's legal culture.
To date, in its thirty (30) years of continuous operation, it has organized over 150 scientific events and provided a platform for around 1,000 legal professionals and beyond, thanks also to its interdisciplinary events. In this commemorative 30th Anniversary Volume, original contributions from distinguished legal experts are collected, which significantly contribute to the scientific dialogue.
