Just released by Les Livres du Tourisme publishers, the new book titled "Elements of Oenology, the Art of the Sommelier". This book initiates us into the secrets of wine, describing the entire journey it takes from the vineyard to our glass.

Although we all often consume wine, few of us truly know about this product. This is because, as familiar and simple as it may seem, making and appreciating a good wine is ultimately complex and challenging.

"Elements of Oenology, the Art of the Sommelier" aims to record and transmit all the necessary knowledge that shapes wine culture to both professionals and amateurs of wine.

It consists of 12 chapters dedicated to viticulture, the reception of raw materials, grape varieties, oenology, wine categories and types, as well as organoleptic control, the duties of the sommelier, the creation and management of a wine cellar, wine promotion, and sales.
In the last chapter, the nutritional value of wine is discussed, harmonious food-wine combinations are suggested, along with valuable tips for every meal.
