We chose it instead of Terraforming Mars because we thought it is better with 2 players, which is usually how we play. Overall, the construction quality is excellent and the cards are truly countless. As a negative point, I would say that it takes longer with 2 players than with 3 or 4, as they haven't adjusted the "goal" that triggers the end of the game.

Many say that they will not play the original Terraforming Mars again with this one. I don't know if it's true, it's different. This one has a little more luck than the original (if you play the original with drafting) and it is slightly simplified. We liked it at home and it is definitely faster than the original, so it is easier to bring to the table. However, it is not the 45 minutes that it claims. It lasts from 1 to 1.5 hours for 2 players. The dual layer player mats of this collector edition are excellent. Finally, the dice do not move from their place. The quality of the cards is good and their graphics and colors are much improved compared to the original. In short, it is much more beautiful than the original. The symbolism is also easy, you don't have to constantly refer to the rules. Overall, we are happy, but we would prefer it to be 30% faster.
