    The reason I give 4 stars is that although it is rated up to 16A, in reality the time it can operate at that amperage is limited because it heats up.
    I tested it on a water heater with a 3.5kw element and after 10 minutes it would shut off due to overheating.
    I changed the element to 3.0kw and the same thing happens, it just lasts a little longer.
    I believe for continuous operation it can handle up to 10A at most.
    For a water heater, a power relay is needed but then you won't be able to see the consumption..
    The connectivity and the app work very well.
