The text of "Organization of Constantinople," in its present form, is the result of recording the memories of Athanasios Souliotis-Nikolaidis, approximately 30 years after the events it discusses.
The recording and selection from the author's notes were made by his wife, Sofia Soulioti, under his instructions. Thus, some thoughts that the author once expresses have undergone the process of time and should not be considered contemporary assessments of the events.
The author, as the researcher of the manuscripts in his archive will ascertain, preferred to omit the sharpest of his observations about individuals and situations from the text intended for publication.
Sofia Soulioti was the tireless and faithful executor of his will, and thanks to her efforts, almost all of his works have come to light. Our gratitude mainly belongs to her, as well as to the management and staff of the Gennadius Library where the archive has been deposited.
