You should know that the cup requires the bottom to be completely flat. This was not mentioned in the product description. I have a regular-sized stainless steel cup with a completely flat bottom and it does indeed keep it warm. However, it does not keep large porcelain cups warm because they only make contact with the rim. Nevertheless, it is well-designed and very beautiful and it will do a great job with cups that have a completely flat bottom.
