The DFRobot IO Expansion HAT for Raspberry Pi Zero/Zero W provides Digital, Analog, I2C, PWM, UART, and SPI ports. The digital ports connect to the Raspberry Pi’s GPIO16–GPIO25 (BCM), while the PWM and Analog ports are controlled via I2C by the onboard STM32 microcontroller. With the appropriate libraries, it can be used to control PWM output and read ADC input.
The board supports 5 V power and 3.3 V sensors. The PWM ports can be powered either by an external 6–12 V supply or by the Raspberry Pi’s 5 V supply.
