In this short story, the great author from Skiathos draws from his childhood memories, when he followed his priest father to the desolate chapels of the island. It is about the little Lambrakis, the delicate and pampered son of the priest. In his unique way, Mr. Alexandros weaves these memories into a beautiful narrative that transports us to the Greek countryside and reminds us how people lived in the past: A life full of hardships, but also filled with care for fellow humans in difficult circumstances, and love for Christ.

On one level, this story is an adventure leading to a meeting with shipwrecked sailors, but on a deeper level, it is a parable that speaks to the whole of our lives. The edition is introduced and closed by the philologist, significant teacher, and contemporary writer Kostas Ganotis, while Sofia Hatzi narrates the story with great sensitivity in the accompanying audiobook. Along with her, a series of professional and amateur actors, led by Konstantinos Bisalas, bring the characters to life.
