Worst leash I have ever purchased. The one star is for the design. And here is where the good ends. Now for the bad...

The biggest problem has to do with the retractable mechanism. It is quite weak, resulting in not having enough strength to retract the leash. Additionally, there is a bump that prevents the leash from folding. The result is that the leash gets stuck and cannot be gathered after a certain point. With use, the retractable mechanism becomes weaker and the problem occurs more frequently. I have tripped over the leash many times. The worst part is that my dog has been in danger several times when I had to manually gather the leash like a sailor. This problem has been mentioned in other user reviews as well.

The advertised ergonomic handle is terrible. One would expect that since Flexi leashes are German, they would be suitable for winter. However, the reality is the opposite and I wonder if people in Germany wear gloves during winter. Because in Poland, where I was, everyone wore them. The handle is simply plastic without any rubber, causing it to slip when wearing gloves. Especially if you have a dog that pulls, then you are chasing both your dog and cursing at the leash.

Lastly, I bought it with the accessory for the waste bags. 8 euros for a low-quality plastic barrel. Even if it was convenient, I would say okay. But the bag is loose without any closure or anything to help you cut it. So imagine me in the snow, wearing gloves, the leash slipping, the half-gathered leash hanging, and my dog pulling while I try to cut the bag with both hands to pick up its waste.

In short, Flexi leashes are overpriced garbage that you can find everywhere. The marketing has been successful and society is saturated with them. Personally, I prefer to walk my dog with a rope leash rather than these pieces of garbage. I spent 30 euros on Flexi leashes 5 months ago, and today I am spending the same amount to buy a proper leash. If you want a proper and high-quality leash, check out Alcott adventure and expedition. I have been using them for many years and they are excellent.
