Originally developed in the Custom Shop for Hamer® guitars, the Phat Cat™ is a full-sized single-coil P-90, adjusted to fit into a "humbucker" package, allowing it to be installed in any guitar with corresponding humbucker pickup slots.

The tone is full and thick (fat-phat!). It uses two Alnico 2 magnets for better sustain and a softer attack. Additionally, the metal covers provide better shielding and noise reduction compared to standard plastic soapbar covers.

Standard vintage single blend.
