The buckle features a patented locking mechanism, while the minimum guaranteed strength is 9 kN in tensile strength and 18 kN in loop configuration. The design of the back prevents dirt, dust, ice or snow from accumulating in the buckle.

The stitching is made with Coats® nylon thread and features a diamond-pattern safety weave. The buckle is manufactured in Austria.
