Why do we make art? To break our limits, to expand our boundaries, to fill our void, to become complete. This is not a condition, but a journey, where what is dark within us gradually becomes illuminated. In this struggle with our personal truths, in this effort to peel off piece by piece the mask of life, theater, with the fullness of its exploration, has always seemed to me like a space of challenge. It has the ability to challenge its own nature, as well as its audience, by breaking imposed patterns of action, emotions, and judgment - shaking them to the core, because they are expressed through breath, body, and the deepest impulses of the human organism. This collision with taboos, this sin, produces the shock that removes the mask, and makes us capable of offering ourselves naked to something that cannot be defined, but contains the concepts of Eros and Grace.
