How can someone teach Chanting in just three academic semesters, preparing candidates for the clergy, who will live their entire priestly life with Chanting? Whatever fast-track method they follow, this is practically impossible.

For this reason, it is vital - I believe - to highlight the scriptural and patristic theological insights regarding the necessity of Chanting in Divine Worship and its valuable contribution to the dressing of the divine word in the liturgical sacred acts, thus also to the doctrines of faith; it must be made clear that through the member, all the teaching of the Lord is expressed, understood, and received, all the theology of His Church, all the experience of the saints and martyrs of the faith.

If the students understand this, they will rush to study Chanting on their own, as a refreshing water of theology and not as a stressful obligation of a Study Program... The personal need has driven the search, and the search has brought the above gift according to "ask, and it will be given to you...".

What the Lord has given in various phases and with various occasions has been gathered here in a monograph with a common denominator: the theology regarding the Art of Chanting. To the Holy Trinity God be glory, honor, and worship unto the ages.
