HDMI 2.1 cables allow full utilization of the capabilities of modern 4K monitors with 144 Hz and TVs with the highest available resolutions of 5K and 8K. In Claroc's HDMI AOC (Active Optical Cable), data transmission is done hybridly: 4 ultra-thin optical fibers transmit TMDS data, while 7 tin-plated copper wire conductors handle grounding, power supply, Ethernet, and additional functions.

Optical cables are compatible with standardized HDMI ports of devices, as signal conversion occurs in chips placed internally in the cable's connectors.

Fiber optic technology neither creates nor is subjected to electromagnetic interference, emitted, for example, by Wi-Fi networks. This makes optical cables a guarantee for the greatest clarity of image and sound.

The lightness and robustness of long HDMI optical cables are remarkable, with a diameter of only 5.2 mm, something that would not be feasible with classic copper-wired cables. All Claroc cables longer than 10 m are factory rolled for easier installation and storage.

Shorter cables are packaged in a special, antistatic film for protection during transport and storage. Despite their small diameter, the cables have a limited bending radius that reduces to only 2 cm, with more durability and ease of handling.

HDMI 2.1 also introduces the enhanced audio return channel eARC, which allows support for high-resolution signal (Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, DTS-HD MA, and Dolby TrueHD) in a bidirectional direction. It also supports DSC image compression technology, automatic low latency mode ALLM, variable refresh rate, 3D, and simultaneous display of two images.

Claroc HDMI cables support HDCP 2.2 security, allowing the reading of high-resolution data (4K and 8K) from popular streaming services like Netflix and HBO Go.
