I hadn't bought such garbage in years. Yes, it's true that it's 12TB at a low price, and the performance is good (reaching up to 150MB/s in its best moments). BUT the noise it makes is ***UNBEARABLE***. It makes the noises that a faulty hard drive makes (whirring, banging, squealing) as soon as it came out of the packaging. I put it on foam pads and even placed it inside the cabinet under the TV, but I still hear it even when playing a movie at moderate volume. Completely unsuitable for everyday use near people. If it's only going to come out of the drawer once a week to take a backup and then go back to sleep, it's OK, otherwise STAY AWAY.
