The spare microchips are two microchip tags that attach to cat collars. They can be used to grant the cat access to cat doors with a microchip recognition system, such as the Swing Microchip.

Place one of the microchips on the cat's collar and keep the other as a spare in case your cat loses the first one, or for another pet you may have, to grant access through the Swing. Note that this particular microchip is intended for use in cats that do not already have a microchip.

Additionally, the door's microchip recognition system can be deactivated if necessary to function like a traditional cat door.
