I don't know if it offers hydration. I bought it for my 8-year-old daughter because she is jealous of her mom! I give it 2 stars because I don't like its scent at all! I wouldn't even like it for myself, let alone for a little child who dreams of a caramel and sweet scent. I don't know how to describe it, but it smells like a cream that has been left for a very, very long time and has gone bad.
