The worst purchase I’ve ever made. To start with, I should say that the first one I received was torn on the surface. Okay, let’s say it was defective or a returned product and they shouldn’t have sent it to me. The second one really did arrive wrapped in plastic in its packaging and looked new. I should have tested the first one ergonomically, though, so I wouldn’t have asked for an exchange but for a refund.

    --- Size:
It’s completely wrong. It’s so long that if you put the keyboard on it, then only a tiny area of about 10 centimeters is left for the mouse (see photo).
If you position it to leave more room for the mouse, then a large part of the keyboard is left hanging off—exactly where you rest your hand on the keyboard, so it will be off the pad.

Vertically, it’s way too big too; it’s tall enough to fit 2.5 keyboards. I don’t mind the vertical size, it’s just completely unnecessary, and they could have made it shorter and wider instead!

    --- Temperature:
I put it on the small setting and it was way too hot. Our body temperature is 36.6 degrees, and this isn’t meant to heat a room, but for your hand to rest on it and feel a pleasant temperature. Even at 44 degrees it feels very hot, and I don’t know what temperature will build up under the keyboard where it covers it. I couldn’t tell how hot it would get on the two settings—you’ll understand only if you try it yourself.

    --- Mouse:
It makes the mouse unusable. It’s always raised at both ends; because of the material, it never loses its curve, so my mouse doesn’t make contact with its surface and therefore doesn’t work. I tried putting another mouse pad on top of it in the hope it would lie flat, but that didn’t work either—it lifts that one up too, and of course it doesn’t all fit.

I tried putting it under the large desk mat to see if that would work, but unfortunately it doesn’t, because the heated mouse pad’s switch is on the mouse pad itself, so you can’t put another large mat over it. If it were on its cable, then it would work, and perhaps its high temperature wouldn’t be such a big problem.

If I position it so that it heats only the keyboard and leave the mouse outside it, then it’s completely useless to me, since usually my right hand gets cold because it has to rest on the desk all the time. In other words, I bought it mainly for my right hand.

    --- In the end:
I’m forced to return it, clearly because the mouse doesn’t work with this mouse pad. If I position it so that the mouse isn’t even on it, my right hand is usually the one that gets cold because it rests on the desk all the time, since that’s where the mouse is. What am I supposed to do with it sitting under the keyboard while my right hand is freezing?

It’s completely wrong. Yes, it’s cheap, but not for a regular desk with a full-size keyboard and enough room for the mouse.

  • I've had it for over 3 years, and it has been very convenient for me. It has 2 heat levels. At the low level, it is already quite warm. At the high level, you need to be careful, IT BURNS! I found a way to lift the keyboard a bit higher, so it doesn't burn it (I haven't had any damage yet)... but the heat it produces is worth it.

No matter how many years pass, the edges (right and left) remain raised as seen in the photo! At first, it had a plastic smell, but that went away quickly. Over time, the design has developed some... thermal deformations, but they are only visible when I lift the keyboard.

My only complaint is that the mouse rubbing gradually wears down the surface. Recently, I noticed some peeling there, so it's probably time to replace it... but after 3 winters, with hours of daily use, it has long paid for itself.
