Under the title Practical Idealism, a volume containing three essays by Richard N. Coudenhove-Kalergi was first published in Vienna in 1925, by the "Pan-European" publishing house.
As there has been a great deal of noise in recent years, both in Europe and the rest of the world, regarding a supposed "Kalergi Plan," we decided to present this important work to the Greek reading public for the first time in complete translation, without cuts or interventions.
It is widely accepted that Richard N. Coudenhove-Kalergi can be considered one of the pioneers and visionaries of European communities and the idea of European unity.
Nearly a century after its writing – and from whatever perspective one may read it – the text remains extremely interesting, enjoyable, and vivid, and the opinions and predictions of the author are now available for the judgment of the reading public.
