The Discovery Artisan 16 digital microscope displays the object on a computer screen and lets you take photos and record videos, as well as perform linear and angular measurements. Its 2 Mpix digital camera produces images up to 1600 × 1200 pixels, and focus is adjusted manually. It can be used to examine coins, work with metals, repair electronics, restore works of art, and conduct research in applied sciences.

The eight white LEDs provide adjustable illumination intensity, and the microscope can be used with or without the stand. It connects and receives power via a USB cable and is compatible with Windows and Mac OS. Its body has a rubber coating.
