The game is based on the book "The Spiderwick Chronicles," written by Tony DiTerlizzi. It follows the twins Simon and Jared, as well as their older sister Mallory, who move into the old Spiderwick mansion.

Players will enter a world of supernatural creatures, where they will face goblins and hunt fantastical beings. The battles are in the form of traditional RPGs, with turn-based combat mechanics. The perspective is top-down, and the character is controlled with the stylus during exploration.
