Description

The Shimano hydraulic disc brake set includes:

  • BL-M8100 brake lever
  • BR-M8100 caliper with brake pads
  • SM-BH90-SBM brake hose (pre-filled)

Compatibility:

  • Brake disc: RT-MT800, 140-203 mm (not included)
  • Brake pads: G03A Resin / G04S Metal / J03A Resin (Ice-Tech) / J04C Metal (Ice-Tech)

Braking performance is optimized with SERVO WAVE technology that enhances lever modulation capability. Because the brake lever absorbs a large braking distance right at the beginning of its movement, the brake pads come into contact with the disc faster, leaving more lever travel for adjusting braking force. This is why SERVO WAVE braking systems are characterized by faster response, higher performance, and shorter idle travel.

The BL-M8100 is even 10% stiffer than its predecessor under high-temperature conditions. The brake lever distance is individually adjustable without the use of additional tools. Thanks to the I-Spec EV design, Deore XT SL-M8100-I shift levers can be mounted directly on the brake lever.

The Shimano Deore XT BR-M8100 Postmount brake caliper is ideal for Cross Country use. Compared to its predecessor, the faster piston retraction leads to superior modulation, resulting in improved braking control. The G03A Resin brake pads combined with the lightweight caliper guarantee excellent deceleration and at the same time low weight.

    Excellent. It comes almost ready, you just need to cut and connect the cable to the lever. It's perfect. You barely press it and it locks up immediately. Very good for wheelies and for the mountains. Very steep downhills are nothing compared to a set of these brakes. And the lever moves forward and backward with a small washer. Super easy to bleed, it only takes 1 minute. The only bad thing is that the Shimano Deore XT with 2 pistons is more expensive than the Shimano SLX with four pistons and they have EXACTLY the same performance. However, value-wise, the Shimano SLX (4 piston) is more worth it, but both are fantastic brakes.
