The main function of the surgical mask type IIR is to block particles from breathing, speaking, sneezing, and coughing so that the person wearing it does not transmit them. Therefore, its use is mainly for healthcare professionals in surgeries, clinics, and hospitals. Additionally, the letter "R" indicates that the mask also provides protection against liquid splashes (e.g. saliva, blood). It has a protection level of 98% and offers greater protection than fabric masks.

Usage recommendations:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based solution
  • Adjust the elastic behind your ears
  • Apply the mask to cover your nose and mouth
  • Lower the bottom of the mask below your chin
  • To remove the mask, remove it from the back (do not touch the front of the mask)
  • After each use, dispose of the mask in a closed container. Wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based solution after each use.
