The unequal competitors, Max the Hare and Toby the Tortoise, challenge each other to a race. Max is so sure that he will be the winner that he doesn't hesitate to take his time along the way, even taking a nap! However, when he hears the crowd cheering for Toby, who has steadily and slowly kept up in the race, Max must rush at the last moment into the battle for victory!
