The Waffen SS were considered the elite of the German Armed Forces during World War II and were involved in almost continuous combat. From the sweeping tank battle of Kursk on the Eastern Front in the summer of 1943 to the fierce fighting among the hedgerows of Normandy after the Allied landings and to the last major offensive in the Ardennes, which remains immortalized in history as the Battle of the Bulge, these men and their tanks made history.
Willi Fehling was a highly decorated Panzer commander in World War II. He is a former member of the Waffen SS and contributed to the building of the modern federal German Armed Forces.
