Bergamot (Citrus Bergamia) is a small tree of the citrus family originally from Asia, with major production areas in Southern France and Southern Italy. Its name derives from the Turkish word "begarmudu," meaning "the prince's pear." It has been known in Europe since the 16th century, where it was used as a fragrance and refreshing agent.

The essential oil of Bergamot is derived from the cold pressing of the raw peel of the fruit and has a yellowish to brownish-green color with a pleasant and fresh aroma, dominated by sweet, lemony, refreshing notes.

Bergamot essential oil has various therapeutic properties:

• Mix 3 parts of Lavender essential oil with 2 parts Neroli and 1 part Bergamot if you feel nervous.
