Herbstore organic patchouli essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the dried leaves of the Pogostemon cablin plant. It has a sweet, spicy, exotic fragrance with a woody character and is edible. It is used as an ingredient and fixative in men’s fragrances, as well as to scent soaps and cosmetics.

For external use, it must be well diluted. It can be used in blends with bergamot, cassia, oakmoss, pine needles, geranium, lavender, mandarin, sage, myrrh, clove, neroli, rose, sandalwood, white fir, ylang-ylang, and cedarwood. It may cause sensitization in some individuals.
