The essential oil of oregano is obtained from steam distillation of the leaves of this particular plant, which is different from common oregano. It has a strong characteristic aroma and is often referred to as oregano oil.

The oregano essential oil contains the substances carvacrol (85%) and thymol (2.89%) which give it antimicrobial properties. Organic Oregano Essential Oil is primarily used in aromatherapy for:

• Tackling respiratory issues such as asthma, bronchitis, and cough.
• Combating diabetes (2-3 drops of the essential oil in a beverage).
