    Bone Conduction

They transmit sound through the bones of the skull, bypassing the eardrum. The speakers do not go into the ear - they simply rest near the cheekbones.

If you go out on the street, you simply can't hear anything. The bass is also non-existent. It becomes annoying if you turn up the volume all the way, which you would do anyway in order to be able to hear.
