This work presents the doctrinal teachings of Sunni Islam. It concerns the fundamental supernatural truths accepted by Sunni Muslims around the world.

The main topics within the doctrinal sphere of Sunni Islam relate to monotheism, angels, divine scriptures and messengers, the Day of Judgment, and divine legislation. The presentation attempt is based on, on the one hand, the fundamental sources of Islamic theology, which are the Qur'an and the prophetic tradition, and on the other hand, the doctrinal writings of prominent Sunni scholars.

Specifically, the views of influential Sunni theologians from the Middle Ages as well as from the modern era were selected. These texts are either interpretative commentaries on the Qur'an or explanations of the doctrinal foundations of Islam. The overview of doctrinal theology is conducted in light of the Sunni interpretation.

Consequently, this study aims to enlighten the reader interested in understanding the doctrinal identity of Sunni Islam.
