The philosophy behind the Deore XT LinkGlide M8130 series is based on thicker gear teeth and different chain operating angles, allowing for smooth shifting from one gear to another without noise or inaccuracies.

The SHIMANO Deore XT LinkGlide M8130 series is compatible with nearly all mid-range and higher bicycles. It only works with components that utilize LinkGlide technologies, such as the 11-speed Cues series. For the drivetrain to function properly, it is required to replace the entire old and worn-out chain, as the operational standards of chains and gears cannot be combined with the technologies of different series that are not Link Glide.
