The upgrade of the already successful vc4s has so far (3 days in my possession) charged decade-old batteries, but they are untouched in their box with zero charge from their mother. It remains to be seen... in a few days, I am expecting the new rechargeable ones (GP & eneloop).
It comes with a USB type-c cable and requires a quick charge 3 amp charger to perform correctly. During charging, it indicates how many milliampere-hours (mAh) are stored in the battery, and indicates how many mA it is charging (here there is an automatic selection that the charger will choose for the battery, or we can manually select between 5 levels: 3A, 2A, 1A, 500mA, 250mA).
Also, the indication of the battery's internal resistance is very important.
There is also a battery calibration function, a process that charges the battery, then discharges it and recharges it again... what surprised me is that it measures the capacity indication during discharge!
If it charged 1.5-volt lithium ions, I would say it is the ultimate amateur machine.
It came as authentic as I entered the unique code on the xtar website and it accepted it

It is the second time I have encountered a problem with a charger from this particular company. And both times I am out of warranty because 12 months have passed... With this specific charger, even though it has been used only a few times, now only 2 out of the 4 slots charge. Never again XTAR!

Quality device with a screen that provides all the information.
I use it for my electronic cigarette batteries and sometimes for AA and AAA ones.
    It is worth its money.

Very good, I have been using it for 2 years with 18650 lithium without any problems. It struggles a bit with the Nimh, if they are old it confuses them with lithium and changes the charging volts, it requires attention.

I've been using it for at least 2 years (I don't remember exactly). It does what it promises. The only "malfunction" is that when it runs for a long time, the brightness of the display decreases... as if the circuit supporting it is overheating. Of secondary importance, of course...

Very good with its many indications. Only that it hasn't shown me the capacity mentioned by the manufacturer for any battery yet. Always below half. I haven't figured out if the manufacturers are exaggerating or if it's the instrument's fault.

Good for the money but it could be better, for example, it should display the battery charge, have a better screen, and a longer cable. Also, a way to charge other types of batteries, like 9-volt. Why should we buy 2 or 3 chargers when we could have one for everything?

It does exactly what it says. It charges correctly in all ranges (500mah - 3000mah).
I have been using it daily for 2 months now, 24 hours straight, always charging 18650 batteries for an electronic cigarette and it hasn't failed. I only use it with lithium batteries and with a good type C plug. Clear and many indications. I highly recommend it, especially at €24.9, it has no competition.

After 8 months of use. It gets stuck and not all the ports work, it needs to be unplugged for a while and at some point it disconnects. Charging stops before the batteries are fully charged, so I have to put them in again and again until they reach the correct voltage.

The user manual states that it accepts a charger up to QC3.0 (5V-3A or 9V-2A).
I noticed that some of my batteries were charged up to 350mAh for example, and then if I removed and reinserted them, it would give them another 800mAh! So, in automatic mode, it often does whatever it wants. Also, I put a good Lithium battery in the third slot and it repeatedly did not recognize it. I put it in the first slot and it recognized it. Sometimes it gets stuck at the beginning of battery recognition and requires removing and reinserting the battery. Finally, a few times it did not complete charging automatically, but kept supplying power continuously.
It does not get very hot.

The charger is incredibly fast! I had the old XTAR VC4 at 1000ma and this one is 3000ma with fast charging! Day and night difference! Of course, I also bought a 3A wall charger. It is also excellent in terms of indicators and the 4 batteries, with 4 screens instead of 2, and a type C port which is very practical!
The five stars are not enough for what it offers, such as quality and price! I highly recommend it without hesitation!
