The Datalogic Magellan 9300i wired scanner combines 1D and 2D barcode scanning with a scale for use at retail checkout counters. It reads QR codes and barcodes from smartphones without requiring a specific product orientation.

ScaleSentry technology monitors the two main sides of the weighing plate using an infrared beam. If a product is detected that has not been positioned correctly, an alert appears at the checkout, and the weight is not transmitted to the POS until the product is repositioned. The horizontal and vertical AllWeighs plate increases the active weighing area.
