I've had it for almost 2 years with a 4060 b660 32 ram 3600 and it runs smoothly on any game I've thrown at it for 1800p battlefield 2042 - bv - cod.

At €60, it's a VFM winner! Paired with 16GB DDR4 at 3600 and Asus TUF B760 BTF. With a simple €15 cooler, it doesn't overheat during multitasking and casual gaming (lol - metro exodus at 1080p) with an RX580 8GB.
For someone who wants simple things on their PC (browsing - multitasking - casual gaming at 1080p) it's the only way to go for a budget build. Future proof, as with the LGA1700 socket you can easily upgrade up to a 14th gen CPU and 32 or 64GB RAM in the future.

Update: Installed a Gamemax Iceburg 240 AIO with display (cost €48) purely for aesthetic reasons. I watch football on Cosmote TV streaming on one screen and on the other I usually play LoL or Call of Duty Modern Warfare at 1080p, while also having YouTube and 1-2 more tabs open in Chrome. I've never seen CPU temps above 65°C and it handles it easily. Honestly, there's no reason for anyone with a low or low-to-mid budget PC without needs for video editing, rendering, or streaming to go for a more expensive CPU.

A processor with 4 cores puts the previous generation's 10-core processors in their place. It can run everything without issue. The only area where it falls short is in very heavy gaming, which is understandable due to its low core count.

Very fast CPU for the money... normal temperatures with the stock cooler up to 70 during gaming, idle 50... easily runs games like PUBG, Warzone, LoL, CSGO 2, Forza Horizon, Uncharted, the maximum I saw it working is 75%

I've had it for a little while, but it seems like a very good processor. Fast. Low temperatures with the Intel cooler. Overall, I'm very satisfied so far. A very reliable and commendable processor. I'll come back after a year of use. The processor is super and handles even heavy gaming. What I would suggest to anyone getting this processor is to change the CPU cooler. I'm not saying the stock Intel cooler is bad, but it raised temperatures to 62-70 during gaming. In idle, it had temperatures of 39-45. Also, the fan is quite noisy when it struggles and goes above 1800-1900 RPM. I got the be quiet pure rock slim 2 for only 25 euros, and the difference is huge. Idle temperatures are now 28-32. In the same games, instead of 62-70, I have a maximum of 45 degrees, plus it is completely silent; you can't hear it even under heavy use.

I have it with an rx 6600 and 16gb ram and it runs very well, in cinebench it scored 8300 multi core consistently at 4.1ghz and never went above 70c, only the fan makes quite a bit of noise when it heats up.

It remains one of the best budget options. I got it last year because of the upgrade path it provides, but I don't think I'll need to change it for several years to come. It can handle any game I give it (with an RTX 2060, 1080p) at high settings with over 80 fps in 30-50% usage (obviously bottlenecking the GPU).

As for the upgrade path, you can buy a slightly more expensive Alder Lake motherboard which is also compatible with Raptor Lake processors, so in a few years if you put in a 13700 for example (which will have dropped in price) and a new graphics card, it will be like getting a new PC.

Combined with an Asus b660A D4 motherboard + asus gtx 1650 + 16gb ram, I will be covered for at least 5+ years in terms of upgrades.

The best thing Intel has produced in years, for the money, is the amazing performance with 8 threads and gaming performance that is close to CPUs twice as expensive. Thermal performance is also very good and it handles it well with a good cooler.

Perfect processor! Unfortunately, its capabilities are downgraded due to the lack of sufficient information from its sellers. Some websites abroad, with much more information and comparative tests, have praised it. I trusted it and bought it, and I wasn't disappointed! I play all the new first-person shooter games with "wild" specifications, without any problem.

I don't think there is a better value for money processor at the moment (4th/22nd market) besides this one and the 12600 for an extra 60 euros, for those who use it for office and gaming.
The factory cooler has a very nice design (finally) and performs very well even in stress tests (idle 27oC, full usage 63oC).
    I highly recommend it!
PS: The perimeter ring does not have LED, but with the surrounding lighting it looks like it's slightly phosphorescent.

In the past, you needed 350 euros for such a processor at this level, and this one is 7 generations later.

  • I've had it for almost 2 years with a 4060 b660 32 ram 3600 and it runs smoothly on any game I've thrown at it for 1800p battlefield 2042 - bv - cod.

  • At €60, it's a VFM winner!

  • A processor with 4 cores puts the previous generation's 10-core processors in their place. It can run everything without issue. The only area where it falls short is in very heavy gaming, which is understandable due to its low core count.

  • Very fast CPU for the money... normal temperatures with the stock cooler up to 70 during gaming, idle 50... easily runs games like PUBG, Warzone, LoL, CSGO 2, Forza Horizon, Uncharted, the maximum I saw it working is 75%

  • I've had it for a little while, but it seems like a very good processor.
