Max Payne 3 follows the steps of former New York City police detective, Max Payne. Haunted by memories of a traumatic past, Max starts a new life as the head of private security for a wealthy Brazilian industrialist and his family in São Paulo.

When ruthless gangs target his clients, Max is forced to fight to save them and clear his name, in an effort to rid himself once and for all of the demons that have plagued him for years.
