Free Body

With the Free Body design, the center of gravity of the mechanism has been shifted closer to the rod. By moving the center of gravity of the mechanism closer to the base of the rod, fatigue that occurs after many hours of fishing is reduced, while retrieval becomes even more comfortable.

Hagane Gear

The Hagane main gear is manufactured by Shimano using Cold Forging technology, without the need for additional metalworking. This provides low weight, long-lasting smooth operation, strength, and energy at the heart of the mechanism.

CoreProtect

CoreProtect technology is essentially an extra coating that waterproofs specific, sensitive parts of the mechanism, such as the roller clutch and the line roller.

X-SHIP

The X-SHIP technology offers perfect alignment of the gear set. This improves efficiency and increases retrieval power. There are 2 bearings for additional support on the sides of the pinion gear that keep the rotor rotation stable and provide exceptional performance.

For over a year now and it works without anything changing in its rotation... However, it is unacceptable in 2025 not to get a solid handle at this price... the two big companies, Daiwa and Shimano, have, in my opinion, a serious flaw... Daiwa gives cast zinc internal gears up to 200+ euros as if we are in 2016 and Shimano provides a folding handle up to 200+ euros, also an unacceptable policy... overall, a reliable mechanism 4 stars
